“How can we make DKA successful for the next 100 years?”

Based on DKA’s strategic plan, purpose statements, values, and the ideas and concepts found in “Good to Great,” a book by Jim Collins, the National Council adopted a motion to create the Good to Great Retreats in 2012.

The Fraternity’s strategic plan will allow DKA to improve operations, chapters and programs.

Good to Great Retreats will uphold the goals of the strategic plan by focusing on the process flow for success found in “Good to Great.” The retreats are comprised of Recruiting Artists of Character Retreats, Ritual Retreats, and Executive Council Retreats. Each program assists students with specific issues or needs and is scheduled at a chapter’s request.

These retreats are presented by a certified facilitator and are free of charge for the chapter.
Requirements include:

  • AT LEAST one BOG member present for the entire program
  • Submission of action plans within 10 days of program to resource@DKA.org
  • Submit an application to resource@DKA.org for more information or to schedule a retreat for your chapter.
